Press Release
Balcony Gallery opens on the 12th of December the group exhibition “Pickpocket”, a show that brings together works by represented artists and revisits the dynamics between gallery, artists, and collectors.
The exhibition includes artworks by Carolina Serrano, Dealmeida Esilva, Hugo Brazão, Laura Caetano, Mané Pacheco, Nikolai Nekh, Nuno Nunes-Ferreira, Pedro Henriques, Pedro O Novo, Sara & André, and Tiago Alexandre.
“Pickpocket” is appropriated and recontextualised within an artistic framework, transformed into a visual gesture that questions, signals, and provokes. Far from any sense of furtiveness, this approach uses transparency as a method: it brings forth the shared ecosystem connecting galleries, artists, and collectors, revealing the circulation of artworks, their shifts, encounters, and continuities.
The exhibition will be on view until February 7th, 2026, at Balcony Gallery.
