Press Release
TheBLANC Gallery in New York City is proud to present Unpopular Opinions, an exhibition sponsored by the Arts Administration Program at Columbia University and curated by pylot studios, that will run from June 22nd until June 28th.
Unpopular Opinions brings together a group of artists whose works explore the nuances of their cultural realities and the contentious world of social media. The exhibit showcases a range of mediums including paintings, sculptures, digital installations, and interactive experiences that invite viewers to engage with the personal, controversial, and the unconventional.
In today’s digital age, media platforms have become the battlegrounds for public opinion, shaping and distorting our views on culture, politics, and identity. Unpopular Opinions aims to explore these dynamics, providing a space for reflection and dialogue on how our everyday interactions influence our real-world perceptions.
The opening reception for Unpopular Opinions will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 offering an exclusive opportunity to engage with the artists and gain deeper insights into their creative processes.
