Thaddaeus Ropac Paris Marais presents new paintings by American artist Jordan Casteel, marking her first exhibition in France. Created in the first half of 2026, the artist situates her figures and landscapes in a cool, earthy palette inspired by the light in the depths of winter, deepening her ongoing close observation of kinship and place. Additionally, the exhibition features a series of smaller botanical works, painted sur le vif. Captured as intimate emblems of cultivation and presence, the artist’s ‘portraits’ of flowers offer a compelling parallel to the human subjects they accompany.
