about Valdemars Slot
VS opened in May 2025 as a unique destination for international contemporary art. Originally built by King Christian IV (1588–1648) and once owned by Danish naval hero Niels Juel (1629–97), Valdemars Slot is the largest private home in Denmark, and the only royal palace in private hands.
